Purpose
The purpose of local protective microwave detectors of "FMW-3", "FMW-3T",
"FMW-3V", "FMW-3TV" familiesis to protect perimeter sectors of different sites.
 General Information
The detector is a bistatic microwave detector consisting of a transmitter
and a receive. The principle of the detector operation is to generate an
electromagnetic field in the space between a transmitter and a receiver. The
field forms a volumetric detection zone in the form of a stretched ellipsoid of
rotation and registers the changes of this field when an intruder crosses a
detection zone.
Distinctive Features
- High noise immunity.
- The detector is immune to the influence of strong electromagnetic fields (power
lines up to 500 kV).
- The detector can detect a crawling intruder in case of special preparation
of a sterial zone and sensitivity adjustment.
- Microstrip production technique of microwave modules.
- "FMW-3T" family microwave modules: extended temperature range, advanced
reliability.
- "FMW-3V" family: it can be used in explosive room zones and outside
facilities. Explosion protection of the detectors is provided by "spark safe
electric circuit i" type of explosion protection according to GOST R
51330.10-99. Explosion protection marking is "FMW-3V",
"FMW-3/1V", "FMW-3/2V"
Specifications
- The length of a detection zone of the detectors:
- "FMW-3 (T,V,TV)" - 10 ... 300 m; "FMW-3/1 (T,V,TV)" - 10 ... 100 m;
- "FMW-3/2 (T,V,TV)" - 5 ... 35 m.
- The maximum width of a detection zone is:
- 5m when the length of a sector is 300 m; 4 m when the length of a sector
is 200 m;
- 3m when the length of a sector is 100 m; 1,5 m when the length of a
sector is 35m;
- 1m when the length of a sector is 15 m; 0,75 m when the length of a
sector is 5 m.
- The minimum height of the detector detection zone is:
- 1,8 m when the length of a sector is 300m; 1,6 m when the length of a
sector is 100m;
- 1,3 m when the length of a sector is 35m.
- The detector generates alarms when:
- a person crosses a detection zone at a speed of 0,3…10m/sec.;
- there is remote control of operation;
- supply voltage is below normal one;
- there is an attempt to mask a receiving unit of the detector;
- there is an attempt to demount the detector;
- the detector units are out of order.
- Probability of detection is 0,98 minimum.
- The detector supply voltage is 9…30 V.
- Maximum consumption current is 0,045 A.
- Maximum time of availability for operation is 30 sec. after power supply
is ON.
- Minimum time of an alarm is 3 sec.
